Our staff are experienced physical and outdoor education instructors. We are happy to provide assistance with your program and activities,
Camp Kookaburra offers a range of environmental programmes that include a fun, hands-on exploration of issues such as salinity, water table degradation and erosion.
We have many activities which include Archery, Tennis, Volleyball, Canoeing, Swimming pool, Campfire area, Tennis, Frisbee golf, Open playing area, Low ropes course etc.
Kookaburra can provide self-catering facilities for approved groups at weekends and holidays – an attractive alternative for some.
Camp Kookaburra is one of the largest purpose-built school camp and group accommodation facilities in northern Victoria.
We have an air-conditioned dining room and a separate recreation room. There’s an open fire, a table tennis table, and a pool table.
We welcome enquiries from groups who may need accessible facilities. Our detailed accessibility checklist is available on request.
Normally the minimum group size required is 40 (or by negotiation). A minimum charge applies.
Program staff available. Resident manager. Commercial activity providers available for hire in the area for astronomy.

From Camp Kookaburra it’s just a short step to some of Victoria’s premier tourist attractions
Enjoy a conducted tour of the Historic Port of Echuca followed by a ride on the Paddle Steamer “Pevensey” to experience Australia’s unique and fascinating Murray River Paddle Wheeler history.
This day includes an underground conducted tour of ‘Central Deborah’, Bendigo’s last working mine which closed in 1954 and “hands-on” experiences with the many interesting and challenging exhibits.
At the Fauna Park, you can visit the reptile house, walk through aviaries, observe dingoes, koalas and kangaroos as well as enjoy a conducted classroom lesson.
